Kate's 2nd Birthday

Better late, than never, right? Yes, Kate is almost 2 and a half, but I am just getting to post her 2nd birthday.  I just want to use this more for my benefit for record keeping and hopefully I can remember most of the events of that day.

Kate was a cutie when she woke up that day.  She doesn't really know what birthdays are, but it was fun to get her all excited.

At school she got this purple crown and they said she wouldn't take it off.  They also got cupcakes to celebrate her special day.

After work and school we decided to play it low key this year and just do something the three of us.   We took her to the Southtowne mall and let her ride the merry-go-round and she of course loved it!  She is in love with "horseys" and talks about them all of the time, so to ride one, even if it was fake, was so exciting for her.

Even more exciting than the merry-go-round was the train.  I can't believe how much she loves this thing.  I just wish it didn't cost so much to ride.  I think this is the first time she got to ride in it.  We usually just let her look.

I got to ride with her and she just absolutely loved it, waving at everyone as we passed by.

Then she got to play in the cars.  We don't have to put any money in them yet, but she has fun anyway.

We then went home and blew up some balloons.

Grandma and Grandpa Reynolds were able to come over to have some cake and ice cream and open some of her presents.  She had to wear her crown :)

She got some Elmo slippers, a Medical Bear with a stethescope and thermometer, some little horseys, coloring supplies, and a play kitchen.

Happy Birthday kiddo!  We sure love you!!
