I love living so close to so much family. It makes the holidays so much fun! A couple days before Christmas my parents held their annual Christmas party. It's a little chaotic when we all get together with 15 grandchildren. My parents have a fun playroom in their bonus room and the kids love to go play. My mom has a lot of the toys we all grew up with so we have fun playing with them as well.
One new addition is the air hockey table. Of course step stools are necessary when playing this game.
After playing for a while and having a yummy dinner, we had the nativity where all of the granchildren dressed up. Here are quite a few of them.
Katie quite enjoyed her angel crown.
The grandkids then got their presents from Grandma and Grandpa. katie got a train set. She loves to play with this (it's a little messy, but keeps her occupied for quite some time).
Then the grandkids gave presents to each other. It was so much fun!
The next day, Christmas Eve day, we spent with the Hawkins. We went to see The Guardians at the Draper theater then went over to Matt's parents' place. Cousins Jordan and Taylor got a new puppy that Kate just adored.
Well, maybe she "adored" the dog carrier more. She kept climbing in and out all evening.
Sharon, Annie, and Sarah all helped make a yummy Korean dinner. Matt's parents served as mission presidents there when Matt was a baby. It was my first experience with it and I loved it. Well, most of it. :)
We then acted out the navity. Katie was not Mary, but after seeing her cousin play this, she had to go over and dress up like her.
She must have known it was Christmas the next day because she wouldn't stop jumping up and down all evening. I didn't think we fed her too much sugar just yet, but I could hardly get a clear picture of her all evening.
We then opened presents. Yay!
