Fun Day

Today was my last Friday off from my leave of absence and I will miss them!!! I really took advantage and spent all day with my little Kate. We didn't do anything really special, but we did have fun. I am usually rushing all week getting up and ready, coming home, feeding her and putting her to bed that I do not get to spend much quality time with her except for the weekends, so one less day really hits me hard.

So, today we just spent time together. I put her in shorts for the very first time. I love seeing her cute chubby legs! After her morning nap we headed to Wal-Mart to exchange some really cute shoes she got from my mom for a bigger size (she is growing too fast). She sat in the cart like a big girl and loved it! After Wal-Mart we went over to Kohl's to exchange some clothes. She also sat in the cart, but the ones there face forward. She talked the whole time and smiled at everyone as we passed by. After running errands we came home for her next nap. After she woke we all watched Tangled! She played on her mat and in the laundry basket. This is so great because all her toys stay close to her, even when she throws them.

After playing on the floor we wrestled, danced around, and just played. She is at such a fun age. It was again time for her nap, so I put her down and then Matt and I both fell asleep. She took a super long nap, waking up 45 minutes later than she was supposed to so we had to put off bedtime for a bit.

We then went for a walk in her stroller around our neighborhood and when we came back Matt was sitting on our back porch so I got out her blanket and we enjoyed the warm weather.







We just started feeding her rice cereal. At first she didn't like it at all, but she is warming up to it.





After eating she discovered the grass...and loved it! She kept pulling it out. So fun!
