Birthday Party

It was my nephew Jaden's birthday and my sister had everyone come celebrate at the Kearns swimming pool.  We had so much fun!  It was a great idea.  Very crowded, however.  It was my first time there and I was not expecting to see so many people, but it is a pretty cool pool.

This is Katie in her swimming suit top before we left.  She loves her rocker.  She looks like a big girl in this picture all lounging out.

It was a hot day, but the wind and the water made it kinda cold.  Kate loves the water and was having a fun time, but was freezing!  Her lips were purple and she was shaking.  Poor girl!  We all decided it was best after a bit to head to the indoor pool.

This is my dad and nephew Tayte who is a couple months older than Kate.

She loves to take Dad's glasses right off of him and put them on herself.  Silly girl.

After swimming we went back to my parents' house and had pizza, cupcakes, and ice cream.  I think we may have to get Kate her own rocking horse!

Hmmm...I guess the cooler is pretty cool...

So kate's new thing is to put her hand under her armpit when she is proud of herself for doing something.  I caught her in the middle of that action.

This is a ceramic dog that the grandkids just love.  Kate put her necklace around it...

This is a little random, but a several days after the birthday party we went to Matt's work summer barbeque at the park.  Kate loved this horse.  She kept rocking herself back and forth and petting it's head.
